In the rose garden in Villa Grimaldi/Park for Peace, Santiago, Chile, there is a rose bush for each of the dozens of missing people. Presente! The prisoners said that when they were blindfolded, they could get their bearings from the smell of the roses. One said she was tortured by the thorns of the rose bushes. And so this garden represents so many different things to different people.
